Watching the blue hedgehog and the pocket monsters spin-dash to the gold ring and unleash their elemental powers widened my 4-year-old eyes and led me to dedicating my studies to software engineering.
In high school and my freshman year of college, I was unsure how to navigate through the vast tech industry. I thought about how to channel my technological skills to my professional endeavors. I recalled how I love that in animated content, the sky is always a beautiful blue with fluffy clouds, websites have interaction that makes its usage smooth and easy, and video games have interfaces that absorb the viewer’s attention.
I realized that software and media require careful testing and attention to detail to make them not only usable, but also enjoyable. My endeavors revolve around both the frontend, including UI/UX development and human-computer interaction, as well as backend development. How users interact and feel towards a piece of software and media is crucial to its success. I enjoy collaborating with others to create visually-appealing and interactive media using technical methods.
I want to create software and media in which users can jump through the screen and fly into a digital utopia where they can take a journey, have fun, feel free, and enjoy themselves.
